Successful stage one application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Activity and Interpretation Plans for the development stage
The team at Headland supported the staff and volunteers at the Cathedral with a successful R1 application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund and were appointed to deliver the activity and interpretation plans for the development stage. Our team undertook a wide range of consultation to help understand the needs and opportunities for the project, including an open day with medieval reenactors and a workshop with over 40 young people in the Cathedral. The capital works focus on the roof and a new accessible entrance, and the activities reflect this with a unique opportunity for people to develop skills working on the stone slate roof and interpretation that has a multi-sensory, accessible approach. The fundraisers have been able to use the consultation and imaginative activity programme to leverage match funding.
