Mold Museum
Design and delivery of a new museum for Mold
Headland was appointed to design and deliver a new museum for Mold. The museum sits within the library service, and the new displays were required to provide displays that would meet the national GIS standard for museums, enabling the museum to loan objects from regional and national museums. The museum has an important archaeology collection, with objects that tell the later history of the town and stories of key people from the area. The interpretation followed a chrono-thematic approach, with objects grouped within themes which follow chronological order. The team at Headland supported the museum staff to write text and content for the gallery. The museum displays can be changed easily using innovative magnetic graphics .
