Design of new displays on the Ladies of Llangollen
The new displays tell the story of the Ladies of Llangollen who escaped society to create a beautiful house and garden. Their story is well recorded through diaries and letters and is brought to life through new displays. A large showcase provides proper conditions for the collections, and a specially commissioned film evokes everyday life for the ladies. Our team helped to write the text and have also supported the museum team to consider the national significance of a collection which tells the story which is part of Wales’s LGBTQ+ history.
